So growing up my family devoured my Mom’s bread stuffing more so than the turkey, turkey, mash, gravy, canned cranberry sauce, candied yams, and asparagus.

When my Mom died and my Dad remarried, his wife’s family made butternut squash soup, Caesar salad, mash, gravy, turkey, freeze dried corn, green bean casserole, assorted appetizers and desserts.

When I got married my wife and I would alternate between my Dad and Thanksgiving at Her Aunts House. Trish and Garry and the combined Hontz-Higgins-Hazel families would be a massive potluck with all kinds of food and desserts.

When the kids moved out of Trish & Gary’s and my Dad died we had ham & chestnut stuffing at Jess’s parents house. We will be there tomorrow for a black friday meal. Sadly, this never happened because Jess’s Mom got sick.

This year Jess had to work 1/2 day so I decided to try something different. I slow cooked BBQ Pork Ribs with added cherry sauce, Made Sun dried tomato Montery Jack/Smoked Cheddar Mac & Cheese, a store bought Avocado Caesar Salad and Store bought blueberry pie. (I hate all things pumpkin & apple pie too)
