Tried something new, seasoned my tenderized chicken breasts with Lemon Pepper Adobo, Smoked Paprika & Coriander cooked in Coconut Oil in a Cast Iron Skillet in the oven for 30 minutes at 400 degrees. Then added on top of a bed of Jasmine Rice and Assorted Veggies to finish it out.
Spaghetti Squash Boats: Cut a small spaghetti squash in half & remove the seeds. Preheat oven to 475 & spray a baking sheet. Drizzle Olive Oil and dried oregano & garlic powder on cut halves. Put halves cut side down on baking sheet and bake for 40 minutes.
Make Meat sauce: We use 90% lean grass fed ground beef cooked in olive oil than add Newmans Own Sockarooni Sauce, also add in 1 can of drained mushroom stems & pieces and some partially dried basil and mix all together.
Take out squash and add sauce mix to middle and fill. Top with a sprinkling of Parmesan cheese. And bake uncovered an additional 15 minutes.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT THURSDAYS: AN EVERY ONCE IN AWHILE POST ON THURSDAYS HIGHLIGHTING MY CULINARY CREATIONS.
On The Left: CHICKEN CHILI- Sauteed Sweet Onion, McCormick Grill Mates Montreal Seasoned Chicken Breast cut into chunks in olive oil with canned & drained Pinto & Black Beans, canned diced tomatoes, chili powder, 1 bottle of Goya Light Malta, simmered on medium for 30 minutes (Topped with Extra Sharp Cheddar Not shown). On The Top Right: CAPRESE CHICKEN- Garlic & Onion Powder & Basil & Oregano with olive oil marinated over night boneless skinless chicken thighs. Chicken arranged in a casserole dish drizzled with your choice balsamic vinegar (ours was a combo of chocolate and coconut infused) with sun dried tomatoes and fresh mozzarella and apartment garden fresh basil from my wife’s balcony garden. Covered & baked at 425 for 30 minutes. On The Bottom Right: SALMON BURGERS- Skinless Salmon food processed with Garlic powder, Old Bay Seafood seasoning and the juice of two lemons, 1 egg, fresh basil, sun dried tomatoes & panko bread crumbs. Make into patties and fry in olive oil on medium high heat. Served with Lemon Garlic Aoli (Mayo/Minced Garlic/Capers/Lemon Juice/Semi Dry Basil Mixed Together) Served on a whole wheat bun with a side salad of arugula & cherry tomatoes salad with creamy poppy seed dressing.
I made the labor intensive Baba Ghanoush (Roasted Eggplant Dip with Tahini Paste, Garlic, Lemon Juice, Basil, Sea Salt) & Beef Kibbee (Beef with Bulgur Wheat, Onions fried in Butter, Middle Eastern Seasonings & Pine nuts) because my wife doesn’t like lamb, Although normally when I make Kibbee I use Bison. With a pita, a side of Labne (Yogurt Cheese Dip) & Salad. Nothing beats a home made Syrian meal almost as good as the way my Gram used to make.
I work a few business’s down from the Allentown Women’s Center (A clinic that yes does abortions but also offers assistance in regards to Pregnancy Options Counseling, Pregnancy Loss, Therapeutic Counseling, Trans Health, Gynecological services, Birth Control, Novasure & Laser Hair Removal), this clinic shares office space with 4 other business’s including AidsNet. This clinic is protested a lot by Pro-Lifers who for the most part are arrogant pricks. Two such people faced federal court but were deemed not too aggressive or threatening despite calling an employee a fag and that all gays should die and that another person should die because they are a baby killer. As I stated above 4 other other business’s share this space anyone entering that property could be going there for any reason. Yes, people have a right to protest. But don’t be a dick about it. Especially the guys that protest there.
Honestly, there are potentially far more lives Aborted on the daily every time a guy masturbates or has oral sex. I just want to have an honest engagement with these male protesters to see if they have refrained from releasing their seed. One of these days like Blue, I’m gonna counter protest with my own sign.
I might be pro choice but I’m not pro death as these people are lead to believe
