Specific to Wolverine, I don’t think height would matter much. Few people have attempted to knock down trees that have adamantium claws that show up and retract without much warning. Although, let’s be honest, if there were trees that could do that, we’d all watch joyfully as the tree took out all of the best lumber tech on the planet lol
