The Pigeons Kiss (A Cento poem)…

It was hard to fathom
the winged demon of
the cathedral towers

Flocked around
my friends and I,
took swigs of Scotch from a Tupperware bowl

The pigeons, landing
kiss
while catching a glance at my bus

Then taking off again
in a body
their shadows
flitting after them
