Back on January 29th, I had mentioned that someone liked my post about my blue turtle comic April Showers that detailed my Mom and her subsequent battle and loss to Cancer. I had thought to bring him back to illustrate the flip side of grief in regards to my Dad’s decline and death but it has been a challenge to get it down on paper in that form.
Perhaps I’m not ready to tell that story or I am not meant to hide behind the turtle anymore. So I will be showcasing that story eventually over at Brotherscampfire.com in a human depiction format.
In general I have completely lost interest in drawing comics utilizing that character who started out as a memoir version of me in turtle form to having other people write a few stories and strips for me to illustrate in the last few years.
But I have decided to say goodbye to the turtle. Blue Turtle 1999-2019.

💗you had a good run. Now on to other things

Seems appropriate…maybe you’ve outgrown blue turtle. I like the concept, though.

I find it odd that this post is randomly liked by people that don’t even follow me.
