Frustrated Thought of the Day…

The CDC now recommends either surgical masks (which at the moment seem to be out of stock everywhere I look) or N95 (which are also scarce and range in price from $200-600) or KN95 (which are sort of available at Lowes and I ordered some) but with such a high demand…you should be able to get these kinds of masks free from hospitals.

With so many people coughing on the job I am back to masking up with my 2ply cloth masks made by my MIL till the KN95s come in the mail.

  1. Keep doing what you can Matt. Surgical masks are 3 ply but because of design and material tend to block better as long as they don’t get wet. KN95’s are typically 5-6 layers. You can tell the difference the moment you put them on. Check Accumed on Amazon or their own site. I had to buy my own when I was still working as the hospital wouldn’t supply any form of N95 to my specific department. Surgical masks also seem to be available fairly reliably on amazon- just watch the price. No need to spend more than $10 for a box of 50. They are truly all the same no matter how advertised.

      1. Yeah, there is a website that lists 100 symptoms of Covid, sorry I don’t buy into that. Covid to me is out of breath, weak, dry cough, fever (& loss of smell in a small percentage) period.
