Mom

Nineteen

Years you left us

No longer as hard

to pass each time of day

But I still miss you so much

Have you reunited with Dad ?

Or is there still distance between you ?

Because he remarried after you passed ?

I hope in heaven you made amends

Before Dad died I made amends

It sucks not having parents

Yet, I love my in-laws

Especially, Mom

But, not like you

My anchor

My rock

You

A double etheree poem dedicated in loving memory of

my Mom, Shirl Snyder 1941-2002

and my Dad, Donald Snyder Sr 1936-2019

      1. I’m glad that’s the case for you (having a brother). I was raised as an only child, so I always felt that if I had someone else, then I would’ve felt better.
