Something Old Sunday # 31 (Rejections & Acceptance)…

This first letter I got was in response to asking Gloria Estefan if I could use her song Go Away for my in production but never completed film Beating Hearts, black clouds, N SmileS (The film about my 3 year relationship from Hell with JoAnn from 1988-1991) My friend Lourdes translated some sections of dialogue into Spanish because JoAnn’s family was Puerto Rican. Anyways turns out this specific song was made for a feature film 😦

The second rejection letter I got was from the estate of the late Anthony Burgess (A Clockwork Orange Author) in regards to adapting his book Inside Mr. Enderby. The estate felt that my treatment of the story was too far left of center, so couldn’t continue that project. I think in this case I was adapting the story with my own transsexual twists for the stage. My Stage adaptation was to be called A Hello & Goodbye to Enderby.

And Lastly I considered posting the 27 page email correspondence with my old college roommate Marc M (who stalked me for years after this project via weird Christian Hate Mail on my public YouTube Page, which I deleted and now make my videos specifically for the blog not for the general public on YouTube, emails, facebook & my last blog prior to this one Asparagus Speaketh) we had planned to make some kind of horror film that he wanted me to primarily finance because I inherited money from my Grandmother. Eventually I broke off this partnership and rewrote a treatment for a short Jewish themed horror film called G-d Help Helen. I pitched the script to Blue Flower Productions and they sent me this acceptance letter and a check for $800.
