Doomsday (Triggers are a bitch)…

Anxiety sucks, especially when you’re not on meds by choice.

Y2K I panicked, the world moved forward. December 2012, the end of the Mayan Calender, I panicked, the world moved forward.

This morning my supervisor asks me if I heard anything about this giant meteor on a trajectory to obliterate the earth on Saturday, February 15th. She read something about it on MSN News. But it was a vague will it or won’t it. This triggered my anxiety most of my coworkers blew it off as bullshit or if it happens, it happens no use worrying about it. Easier said than done for a person with anxiety. Horrible worst case scenarios played all day in my head. Till i came home and checked Snope…Yup, bullshit. Happy to report my head is now calm.

  1. I didn’t hear about the meteor, but my own anxiety focuses mostly on small (often harmless) things. When it’s something massive that I’m helpless to do anything about, I enter a zen state of utter calm. Stupid brain. Glad you’re feeling better.
