Self Deprecating Halloween…

I’ve had many a costumes in my life over Halloween. Some completely original, some store bought, some mixed and matched. Hell one year I bought a giant button with the statement “This is my Halloween Costume”.

As a kid I was a store bought plastic Bugs Bunny and a home made head on a plate. As an adult, I was a clown, a cute cat,  a witch’s evil cat, a home made turtle, the white rabbit from Alice in Wonderland, A man with a giant fly bursting out of his chest, a zombie, a zombie charlie brown, a vampire and when I first started my job 20 years ago I wore a dress and one (permanently borrowed) Berenstain Bear Paw and called myself Crazy Fat Ethel Slowly turning into a bear.

This year I’d thought I’d go full circle with the work thing (being that I’ve been looking for another more fulfilling job) and I’m dressing as Francine Fabulass* Witch Mother Supreme. Obviously not happy with my slow progress in my weight loss journey why not just do drag and hope to win funniest at my own expense. I’m also entering the baking contest. I plan to make Kitty Litter Brownies.

Yeah, those are shorts it’s been cold lately..no way in hell I’m wearing a summer dress without layers LOL

The Ensemble:

A wig I cut up, a witch’s hat I bought at Michael’s, The Maternity Dress my wife bought for me at a thrift store, the vampire necklace, long white gloves, purple striped socks I bought online and the leopard moccasins I bought at Kohls.

  • Francine Fabulass was a character I developed for a Lip Synch Charity Drag Performance I did with my brother and his partner at their LGBT Church back in 2006.

      1. 🤣😂🤣😂 sorry, I’ll stop 😊 it’s more a friendly term over here (UK), I’m only surprised I haven’t started calling anyone ‘babes’ or even weirder, a very local to me term ‘me duck’ 😁
