Food for Thought: Baba Ghanoush & Kibbee…


I made the labor intensive Baba Ghanoush (Roasted Eggplant Dip with Tahini Paste, Garlic, Lemon Juice, Basil, Sea Salt) & Beef Kibbee (Beef with Bulgur Wheat, Onions fried in Butter, Middle Eastern Seasonings & Pine nuts) because my wife doesn’t like lamb, Although normally when I make Kibbee I use Bison. With a pita, a side of Labne (Yogurt Cheese Dip) & Salad. Nothing beats a home made Syrian meal almost as good as the way my Gram used to make.

Praised be to Allah, I’m a damn good cook too 😉
