My latest sketch book to be showcased on tour and permanently available to check out from the Brooklyn Art Library & to view online at The Sketch Book Project around February of 2020. This is my 6th Book since 2013. Four of the six are available to be viewed in the online library. My most personal book Blue Turtle ComiX #1: April Showers (A Memoir detailing the sickness and eventual death of my Mom) & The Most recent Tiny Sketchbook which is a flipbook animation and even though I posted on this blog it’s better to view hand held and will be available to check out from the Physical Library in March of 2020. The Brooklyn Art Library is located at 28 Frost St, Brooklyn New York 11211.

The concluding two post it note drawings. My Dad was in hospice at the time and these two are a bit darker. The last being something my dad would say after making a joke at my expense. His illness and subsequent death created an unknown feeling of grief for me. Unlike my Mom, who’s death devastated me, and I didn’t feel normal til 8 years later. Dad and I didn’t get along. He was an asshole to me for the bulk of my 49 years and there was a lot of distance. But from January to Easter things had changed and we spoke on the phone once a week & Easter ended up being the best holiday gathering in decades. I miss my Dad but not like my Mom. Right now my grief process is centered on the fact that I no longer have living parents. But I still have my brother and his family, my wife and her’s and extended family. So life right now is ok. 🙂
